About Chelli
Chelli Pumphrey, MA, LPC, CCTPII, NAST
Psychotherapist, Author, Reiki Master, Psychedelic Assisted Therapist
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Denver, Colorado, with over 30 years of clinical experience. My early career was rooted in community mental health, child welfare, and domestic violence shelters—work that shaped my lifelong commitment to survivors and to social justice. After 16 years in agency settings, I transitioned into private practice and founded Trilogy Holistic Mental Health.

In 2021, I chose to simplify my life and step away from Trilogy. That shift created space to focus more deeply on my passion for supporting survivors of narcissistic abuse and intimate partner violence. It led to the publication of my book, Insight Is 20/20: How to Trust Yourself to Protect Yourself from Narcissistic Abuse & Toxic Relationships.

My clinical focus includes PTSD and complex trauma (C-PTSD), adult attachment, narcissistic abuse, and antagonistic relationship dynamics. I am a certified Narcissistic Abuse and Survivor Treatment Clinician and serve on the board of the Association for NPD/Psychopathy Survivor Treatment and Education. I also offer public speaking and professional training on awareness, prevention, and recovery from narcissistic and psychopathic abuse.

As a feminist therapist, my work is grounded in an understanding that mental health does not exist in a vacuum. I actively examine the social, cultural, racial, and political forces that shape our lives—particularly those related to gender, power, oppression, and inequality. My goal is to empower clients, restore agency, and challenge systems that perpetuate harm.

Over time, I’ve also come to recognize the limitations of the Western medical model of mental health care—particularly its entanglement with insurance systems, rigid treatment frameworks, and colonial roots. While I remain guided by ethical practice, clinical training, and professional standards, I’ve found that a private-pay model allows me to offer more responsive, individualized, and deeply human care.

I also offer Reiki and intuitive readings, and am deeply committed to spiritual and personal growth. My work is integrative and mind-body-heart-soul-centered. Many clients who are drawn to me are exploring their healing through a psychospiritual lens and may hesitate to name that—often out of fear of being judged or pathologized. You’re not “crazy.” I warmly welcome spiritual seekers, those in existential transition or spiritual awakening, and all things “woo.”

I realized that there is a concerning lack of therapists and helping professionals who truly understand the complexities and toxicity of this insidious type of abuse. Yet, it is incredibly common for people to have experienced an encounter, if not several, with narcissists or toxic individuals. Whether it is a parent, partner, friend, or boss, it is something that can create lasting trauma and devastation. I decided it was time to offer my unique holistic offerings with a specialized focus on narcissistic abuse recovery so that survivors have a place to heal their visible and invisible wounds.

Not only have I helped thousands of clients over the years, but I have also experienced narcissistic abuse from family, friends, and partners. I know how devastating, confusing, and painful these relationships can be. I've also had experiences with therapists who did not understand narcissism and ended up doing more damage or even unknowingly reinforcing the abuse.
I am passionate about using a holistic, integrated approach to therapy, where we focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. I am an Integrative Mental Health Provider and a Reiki Master, and am able to offer integrative healing modalities to those with an interest.
